In person EFT Tapping session (Chin tapping point)

Matrix Reimprinting and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping are both techniques used in energy psychology to help individuals address emotional and psychological issues. While they share some similarities, they have distinct differences in their approaches and methodologies.

EFT Tapping

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping involves:

1. Tapping on Acupressure Points: EFT tapping involves tapping on specific meridian points on the body, which are believed to correspond to energy pathways used in traditional Chinese medicine.

2. Verbal Affirmations: During the tapping process, individuals often repeat specific phrases or statements related to the issue they are addressing. This can involve acknowledging the problem, accepting oneself despite it, and affirming a positive outcome.

3. Addressing Specific Issues: EFT is typically used to address specific emotional issues, such as anxiety, stress, fear, or traumatic memories, by focusing on them while tapping.

The basic EFT sequence involves tapping on the following points while repeating phrases:

  • Top of the head

  • Eyebrow

  • Side of the eye

  • Under the eye

  • Under the nose

  • Chin

  • Collarbone

  • Under the arm

  • Thumb and fingers

  • 9 Gamut point

Matrix Reimprinting

Matrix Reimprinting builds upon EFT tapping and adds additional layers to the process:

1. Use of EFT Tapping: Matrix Reimprinting starts with EFT tapping to reduce the intensity of the emotional charge associated with a memory or issue.

2. Visualization and Reprocessing: Once the emotional intensity is reduced, the practitioner guides the individual to visualize a past traumatic event or memory. The individual then creates a new, positive memory or outcome while in a relaxed state.

3. Creating Positive Imprints: The technique involves "reimprinting" the memory by replacing the negative emotional charge with positive emotions and images. This can change the way the memory is stored in the subconscious mind.

4. ECHO Work: A unique aspect of Matrix Reimprinting is the concept of the ECHO (Energy Consciousness Hologram), which represents the younger self or part of oneself that experienced the trauma. Sometimes people will know or refer to this as the inner child or “inner child work”. The individual interacts with this ECHO, providing it with resources, support, and positive experiences that it didn’t have at the time which effectively transforms the original traumatic memory.

Key Differences

  1. Foundation: EFT tapping focuses on reducing emotional distress by tapping on meridian points while addressing specific issues through verbal affirmations. Matrix Reimprinting incorporates EFT but goes further by reprocessing and transforming traumatic memories.

  2. Process: EFT is primarily about tapping and verbal affirmations to address and release negative emotions. Matrix Reimprinting includes tapping but emphasizes visualization, interaction with past selves (ECHOs), and creating new positive memories.

  3. Goal: EFT aims to alleviate emotional distress in the present. Matrix Reimprinting seeks to change the perception and emotional impact of past traumatic events, thereby creating lasting positive changes in how those memories are experienced.

Both techniques aim to heal emotional pain and improve well-being on a deep and transformative level. EFT Tapping is terrific for reducing emotional stress, overwhelm and heightened emotions whereas Matrix Reimprinting provides a more in-depth and direct approach by addressing and transforming the root causes of emotional issues through visualization and reimprinting positive experiences.
